Meet Your Course Director
Hello, I’m Dr Georgina Brown, and if you are considering this training, you are likely a clinician who wants to feel more confident and capable when prescribing ADHD medication.
Many healthcare professionals find themselves responsible for managing ADHD medication but may not always feel they have had the practical training needed to do this with complete confidence. My aim with this course is to help bridge that gap.
My work is firmly grounded in real clinical practice. Every day I work directly with children and adults with ADHD and autism, carrying out assessments, supporting diagnosis, and managing treatment, including ADHD medication prescribing and monitoring. These real clinical experiences shape how I teach and ensure that the training reflects the situations clinicians actually encounter in practice.
I am the Clinical Lead at ADHD Direct and CEO of North Star ND Ltd, where I oversee clinical governance, service development, and standards of care within neurodevelopmental services. A key part of my work involves ensuring that ADHD care remains safe, evidence-based, and responsive to the evolving research and clinical understanding within the field.
Alongside my clinical work, I spend a significant amount of time supporting and training healthcare professionals who are developing their skills in ADHD care. My goal is always to provide practical guidance that clinicians can apply immediately in their own clinical settings.
Over the years I have worked across both NHS and independent healthcare services, contributing to wider discussions about improving ADHD care and service delivery. I have also collaborated with the Royal College of General Practitioners in developing a competency framework for doctors working in ADHD.
Through this course, my aim is to help you develop the knowledge, clarity, and confidence needed to prescribe ADHD medication safely and effectively within your own clinical practice.
