All our clinicians have been trained in the NHS with many years clinical experience to back up their qualifications. Whether you are diagnosed by someone working in the NHS or Private Sector, the most important aspect to validate the diagnosis is that those carrying out the assessment, must be suitably qualified as recommended by national guidelines. All our clinicians who diagnose Autism ARE suitably qualified. Another important consideration for the NHS recognising our assessments is that we are regulated by NHS Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS), and out inspection reports can be found on the HIS Website.

Whilst the preferred method of assessment is face to face, we can now carryout assessments online via Microsoft Teams, which is a virtual video platform. If you are thinking about having your child assessed virtually and they are primary school age / under 11 years old, then it would be best to call and have a chat with one of our clinicians to discuss whether this would be the right approach to take.

Another factor to consider is that we would not be able to administer the full ADOS assessment but we could administer some of it and this would be referred to an ADOS informed assessment.

We do not have a waiting list. All you have to do is go online booking system and book an Autism Assessment Initial Screening Appointment - Face to Face or Virtual. Availability should be no further away than 4 weeks. If an appointment seems to be further away and you would like a sooner appointment, then give us a call and we will try and sort an appointment at a more convenient time for you.

An assessment usually requires at least 3 appointments, sometimes 4 and the assessment, including report being written should take no longer than 5-6 weeks from start to finish. With more complex assessments, it may take a bit longer to complete but we always endeavour to complete assessments in a timely manner. Whether it's 2,3,4 or 5 appointments, this will be included in the cost of the assessment.

Yes. When you book your initial appointment, you can pay a deposit for this or pay in full for the initial appointment. Following the initial appointment, if a full Autism assessment is recommended, then you will book a full assessment and when doing so, you will pay a deposit for this appointment then prior to the appointment, you can pay the outstanding balance in full or pay over 2 instalments.
