Meet Gordon Brown.
Gordon qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) in 1992 and spent over 25 years in Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS). He holds a BSc (Hons) in Nursing, a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in CAMHS, and is an Independent Nurse Prescriber. During his time in Forth Valley CAMHS, he developed the UK’s first ADHD nurse-led service, pioneering a model now used nationwide. Recognized as one of Scotland’s most experienced ADHD clinicians, Gordon has won awards for his ADHD Degree module and Parents INC™️, a training program for parents. His contributions include research, publications, and presentations at national and international conferences.
In 2008, Gordon began seeing private patients, later launching ADHD Direct in 2017. What started as a one-person practice is now Scotland’s largest neurodevelopmental service, supporting over 4,000 patients. His experience working with both children and adults reinforces his belief in a whole-life approach to ADHD care. Beyond ADHD Direct, he has developed training programs for parents, teachers, and neurodiverse entrepreneurs, including Parents INC™️, Teachers COUNT, and The Neurodiverse Business School (NBS)™️. Gordon’s mission is to raise awareness and ensure individuals with ADHD receive the support they need at every stage of life.

ADHD DirectÂ
ADHD Direct is now helping many individuals and families to access local services which for various reasons were previously beyond their reach. The aim of ADHD Direct is to endeavour to offer individuals, families, and other agencies a first-class service when they don’t have one locally and to continue to raise awareness of ADHD and autism.
